Janice Wilson, a mid-30 housewife of the 1930’s, deals with a crisis inside her marriage, she suffers from domestic violence, but the problem is that her husband, is a police officer. Trapped in this unbearable situation she struggles with her pain and fear trying to find a way out, she must overcome her state of submissiveness by taking control of her life. Janice is the representation of hope that we are trying to communicate by putting an end to this male chauvinist culture.

Clint Wilson, a police officer in his 30s, in the 1930’s, lives strictly by his moral code that resides in his land and faith, he is a patriot protector of his people and a harsh catholic. All this pressure and power lies heavily upon him as he takes it out on drugs, such as cigars and alcohol, and on his wife Janice, whom he beats, telling himself that as the man of the house, it’s his duty to keep good order and behaviour. Clint is the representation of the enduring male chauvinist culture: expectations and heavy flaws.
