Julie Malenfant | Actor from Ottawa, ON, Canada Julie Malenfant has graduated from the Specialized Honours BA in Theatre (Acting Profile) at the University of Ottawa during the spring of 2016. She is mostly trained in puppetry, and has followed intensive workshops with The Old Trout Puppet Workshop (Massachussetts), Le Théâtre de la Dame de Coeur (Québec), Mirko Rajas from Nukuteater and Mirek Trejtnar (Czech Republic). During her studies, she has acted in plays such as ; Les Reines (Normand Chaurette), Marat-Sade (Peter Weiss), Viol (Botho Strauss), Jeux de Massacre (Ionesco), Laramie Project (Moisés Kaufman), and Herakles V (Heiner Müller). In 2013, she has presented an object theatre workshop based on Homer’s epic poem, The Iliad and has recently presented the final piece in Iqaluit, Nunavut. Her most recent play, BÜ, was presented in Montreal at the OUF! Festival in March 2017.
