We are a group of Diploma in Media Production and Design Year 3 students from Republic Polytechnic. We are currently looking actors to act in our short film in collaboration with 27@FamilyServiceCentre’s Good Death Project for our final year project!
The title for our short film is *Selamat tinggal (Goodbye) it’s the translation from Malay to English. Here is the synopsis of our short film that we are doing.
Selamat is a family oriented man and an avid vlogger lives a relatively healthy lifestyle. One day he discovers the shocking and dreadful news that he has stage 4 Lung Cancer. Selamat vlogs his entire journey, showing his ups and downs and how the family struggles to cope with the acceptance of not only the possible loss of a father but also the only source of income.
We are actually looking
1) Male Malay aged 55-65 years old
2) Female Malay aged 45-55 years old
3) Male Malay aged 15-20 years old
4) Female Malay aged 12-15 years old
*Actors must be relatively fit and must be able to converse in both English and Malay
Budget
We are working on a school budget and thus we are only able to pay the cast $7/hr.
Estimated for 5 days to complete the project.

Filming would start in December 2017
