Casting for non-speaking actors for a feature documentary about legendary Canadian rock star Robbie Robertson. Actors will silently perform movements and expressions that will be used by rotoscope artists as reference material for an animated sequence featured in the documentary.
ROLES:
Boy, 10-14, medium build, short dark hair. Confident, expressive, high-spirited.
Scene(s): Young Robbie reacts to the extraordinary news from his mother that his birth father is not the man he thinks he is. He goes on to meet and interact with his new relatives. He also is seen playing guitar and writing a song.
Ethnicity: Caucasian or Metis or Caucasian/Indigenous or Caucasian/Asian
Mother, 25-35, slim, brunette, long hair. Pretty, humble, expressive.
Scene(s): Robbie’s mother tells him the story of who his real father is.

Scene(s): Met only through flashback, Robbie’s birth father is shown as a gambler and card counter who used his extraordinary memory to win poker games.

Scene(s): Robbie’s adopted father is seen in brief flashbacks as a kind father.
