Here is what we are looking for:
Sexy, Sensual, and authentic voices.
No standard narrator or flat read, and no pushed voices or ‘trying to be sexy’.
You/The reader are a character in two scenes being in the moment. (You can send 2 takes)

B. Dialogue (is fun, flirty, has a playful quality) (you don’t need a reader for female dialogue unless you want to ask a friend)

App for sexy audio stories: seeking voice actors
Who we are
Dipsea is a female-founded startup based in San Francisco, California. We’re building an app for audio stories designed to turn women on.
Dipsea was founded on the belief that female arousal is more a question of brain than body. Ultimately, we believe “turning women on” is bigger than arousal: it means inspiring her to feel more in touch with herself, more relaxed, confident, even more connected to partners. It means empowering her to tap into and use her sexual powers more readily and accessibly.
What we’re looking for
We’re seeking voice actors with male, female, and androgynous voices. Voices that sound between the ages of 20-40 are ideal. Whether you’re a trained voice actor or a stage/screen actor interested in voice work, we’re interested in adding new talent to our database.
Available roles
The characters in our stories sound like real people. Monologues should be treated conversationally, almost as though the character is talking directly to the listener, or saying thoughts out loud. We want to feel like the actor is experiencing what the character is going through. In sensual moments, that means sounding like a real person who is getting turned on (as opposed to someone who is reading or performing with a dramatized sensuality). Dipsea’s stories are short (between 5-20 minutes), limiting project studio time to under 2 directed hours, typically. Stories range from lightly suggestive to very erotic.
What we’ll need
Demo auditions can be recorded remotely via your iPhone or Android mic.
We do recordings both remotely and within San Francisco Bay Area. If you have a solid home studio, we will tune in via Skype or phone to direct you during the session. After the session, we request a raw, unedited .wav file from you. If you live in the SF Bay Area and need to come into a studio, we can record directly with you. For actors outside the SF Bay Area, we can sometimes provide a local studio where you can record. In these instances, we will also tune in remotely during your studio session.
Rates and other details
We’re currently non-union. As a pre-launch startup, we offer $100 per directed hour of studio time. We are looking to build sustainable, long-term partnerships with our voice actors, and can discuss the opportunities for post-launch payment structures.
Voice Over auditions are due by 10/4/18 by 5pm,
if you cannot send your submission by the deadline.
