Casting four female-identifying actors for a 60 minute comedic one act play. The play references comedy of errors tradition and discusses the highs and lows of being a 30+ woman striving for career success, family aspirations and artistic expression, all while never wanting to grow up.
CHARACTERS
ELIZABETH, female, early 30s. Medical researcher. Responsible, practical, cautious, but with a huge desire to throw it all away for a career in photography. Playing age: Mid-20s to late-30s. Ethnicity: All ethnicities welcome and encouraged.
LIBBY, female, early 30s. Bartender. Wild, crass, says exactly what she thinks. Never wants to grow up and never wants to stop partying. Playing age: Mid-20s to late-30s. Ethnicity: All ethnicities welcome and encouraged.
ELLIE, female, early 30s. Photographer. A dreamer and a doer. An ambitious, talented, self-assured hustler. She will sacrifice everything she has for her art. Playing age: Mid-20s to late-30s. Ethnicity: All ethnicities welcome and encouraged.
BETSY, female, early 30s. Former party girl. She’s a peacekeeper and wants nothing more than for everyone to get along. Playing age: Mid-20s to late-30s. Ethnicity: All ethnicities welcome and encouraged.
