South Asian Classically Trained Indian Dancer Needed for Lead Role

CASTING BREAKDOWN

Lead Role:

ANITA, female:

– 17-28 years of age, or can pass for 18;

– South Asian heritage – Indian, Pakistani, Bangladeshi, Sri Lankan, Tamil, Nepalese, Indo-Canadian, Indo-American, etc.;

– Anita looks 18 but has the duality of appearing older;

– Physical appearance can vary. Not as important as being trained in any Classical Indian dance style as listed below:

** MUST BE A TRAINED DANCER IN: Bharatanatyam, Kathak, or Odissi classical Indian dance. Preferably also ballet, jazz or modern, but not required.

** MUST BE ABLE TO DANCE and be comfortable with ghungroos.
