Crucible is a dramatic short film about Eli, the head of a religious commune who confronts his teenage nephew, Daniel, for committing the heinous crime of falling in love.
Father Eli (Male, 50-60)
A sly, intimidating and condescending man. Drunk on power, this priest gets off on pacifying his followers and bullying the oppressed.
Daniel (Male, 14)
Timid, misunderstood, shaggy haired teenager. Daniel is led to believe he is a freak for engaging in innocent adolescent behaviour.
Grandmother (Female, 65+)
Daniel’s grandmother is a warm, light, bubbly, and oblivious woman. She hums as she prepares breakfast.
