Ultra Violent Light is a horror short film that follows a frivolous group of teenagers as they’re slowly picked off by a crude forest entity.
We are UBC Film Production project, led by students! We’re looking to cast 4 roles for our short horror film.
The shoot is non-union and unpaid, however, meals will be provided in addition to IMDB credits and clips for reels. There will also be a screening at the UBC Persistence of Vision Film Festival in 2023 and the chance for screening in larger festivals in Vancouver! The roles will involve some light stunt work, but they will be rehearsed and planned so they are executed in the safest way possible.
PETE – MALE – 18-25
Mild-mannered and detailed, he thinks before he acts, which at times makes him, anxious and apprehensive. With his timid personality, he struggles to fit in with his friends.
DRE – MALE – 18-25
The top dog of the group. He asserts himself through his misguided understanding of masculinity. A relatively chill and laid-back guy, but he’s willing to defend himself and fight back.
TREY – MALE – 18-25
An insecure teen that criticizes those around him to make himself feel better. With zero self-awareness, he thinks he’s perceived as a chill and authoritative person
JAY – MALE – 18-25
He’s chill and likes to get high, it’s not that complicated. Detached from reality, he has a false sense of confidence thanks to what he consumes on his phone.
