Hollywood is in a state of flux following the recent strikes, and CAA co-chair Bryan Lourd has warned that the industry could be “destroyed” if there is not a proper healing process.
Lourd was speaking at the RTS Cambridge Convention in the UK, where he discussed the state of the creative industry with a panel of industry experts. He said that the strikes had caused a “tremendous amount of damage” to the industry, and that it was essential that the industry come together to heal and move forward.
“We have to heal,” Lourd said. “We have to find a way to come together and move forward. If we don’t, the industry could be destroyed.”
Lourd also discussed the importance of collaboration and the need for the industry to embrace new technologies and platforms. He said that the industry must be open to change and innovation, and that it must be willing to take risks in order to stay competitive.
“We have to be willing to take risks,” he said. “We have to be willing to embrace new technologies and platforms. We have to be willing to collaborate
