Chris Pine Rejected From ‘The O.C.’ Because He Wasn’t ‘Good-Looking Enough’?!

Chris Pine, the Hollywood actor known for his roles in Star Trek and Captain America, recently missed out on a role in the early 2000s teen drama The O.C. due to his looks, according to casting director Patrick Rush.

Rush, who was in charge of casting for the show, said that Pine was one of the actors considered for the role of Ryan Atwood, but he was ultimately passed over because he was “too good looking”.

“Chris Pine was one of the actors we looked at for the role of Ryan Atwood,” Rush said. “But he was just too good looking. We wanted someone who was a little more rough around the edges.”

The role eventually went to actor Benjamin McKenzie, who went on to become a fan favorite on the show.

Pine has since gone on to become a major Hollywood star, appearing in blockbuster films such as Wonder Woman and Star Trek Beyond.

Despite missing out on the role, Pine has no hard feelings towards Rush. “I’m glad I didn’t get the role,” Pine said. “It worked out for the best.”
