A pretentious artist and a free-spirited painter learn to communicate by painting together to create something harmonious with their opposing styles.
Vincent
20-30 years old.
Vincent is a cold, pretentious art student. He is a perfectionist, and prides himself on being clean and tidy in everything from his work to his clothes. He tends towards being rude and judgemental when faced with other artists, especially those whose style differs from his own. However, as the story progresses, he’s forced out of his comfort zone and learns that there’s more to art than precision and classic technique.
Gigi
19-28 years old. Must be able to speak Mandarin, Japanese, Cantonese, Korean, German, Hebrew, Arabic, OR Hindi.*
Gigi is a free-spirited, friendly, abstract painter. She paints boldly and unconventionally, and wants to connect to others through her art. She has a big heart and an open mind. Thanks to the language barrier, she is able to force Vincent out of his comfort zone and teach him that art is what you make it. She communicates a lot through body language.
*Language Note: Any language that differs significantly from English. No Romantic languages (French, Spanish, etc.)
Leo
19-25 years old.
Leo is like a female version of Vincent. She is sassy, cute, judgmental and a bit of a perfectionist. Leo criticizes Vincent’s artwork ruthlessly for being too rigid and emotionless. When Vincent tries to flirt with her, she rejects him out of hand.
Joseph
18-30 years old. (SOC)
Joseph is clumsy art student. He’s shy and a bit awkward around the other students, and is intimidated by Vincent.
Technical general note: Painting skills appreciated but not required.
