2 day shoot at the end of April, casting for teenage roles. Seeking 17 or 18 year olds who can play a little younger. Please see character bios below and respond with a headshot/resume and a line or two about your experience. Thanks!

SAD CLOWN follows two teenage girls over the course of an evening. It’s a story about friendship, loneliness, and adolescent dreams vs. the awkward realities of being that age. It’s heartfelt, honest, comedic and at times uncomfortable.

EVA (15) Angsty, excitable and impulsive, Eva can’t wait for adulthood. She daydreams of a future far away from her boring family. Although she presents to the world as strong-willed and confident, she struggles with depression and often feels a sense of melancholy self loathing. She feels comfortable letting her guard down in front of her best friend, Candice.

CANDICE (15) Introspective, thoughtful and mature for her age, Candice admires her best friend Eva’s wild spirit. She’s too pragmatic for her age and can only come out of her shell when pushed to. She’s a neurotic girl who isn’t too interested in boys and partying. She’s a deeply sensitive person and feels Eva’s sadness very deeply.

JOE (15) Joe breezes through his teenaged existence with relative ease. He has friends at school, gets okay grades and feels pretty happy with himself. He doesn’t like to dig too deeply into his emotions or the emotions of those around him. He has a sensitive side, but he isn’t comfortable exploring it.

CONNOR (15) Connor is the class jokester. He’s loud and doesn’t often think before he speaks. He’s popular at school and enjoys being a teenager. He’s a little socially awkward but doesn’t know it and tends not to be very self aware.
