Charlie is dirty, beat up, and an old homeless man, that lives on the streets working to make some change for his survival. He begs and opens doors for civilians hoping they’ll give him some change in return. Though Charlie doesn’t have any lines, he is very important part of the story. He must express a drive for survival without using words.
Young Charlie (Principal)

Young Charlie is a younger version of Charlie who took to the streets after being physically abused by his father. He now lives the life of any other homeless person, doing whatever he can to make some change for his survival. Charlie also doesn’t have any lines, but must show a drive for survival, and must get through living on the streets by himself at a very young age.
Henry (Supporting)

Age: 45-55
Ethnicity: OPEN
Henry is the father of Charlie. He is strict Christian that is old-fashioned. When he finds out that his only son Charlie is gay, he hits him and kicks him out of the house. Henry is the antagonist of this story.
Karen (Supporting)

Age: 45-55
Ethnicity: OPEN
Karen is the mother of Charlie, and the wife of Henry. She is married to a strict husband, so she knows never to talk back to him. When Charlie is kicked out of the house by her husband Henry, she must endure the toughest thing she has ever experienced, by watching her only son walk out the front door.
