Casting Native American Actors for 6/2/19 Workshop Reading in NYC

Participate in a reading of a funny and heartbreaking new play that will also be shaped by your feedback. "Indigenous" revolves around an encounter of cultures when a young white man leaves his home and family to help impoverished Native Americans, while two Native Americans travel to a midwestern suburb to save wealthy Caucasians from their money.

ROLES:

MIKE: 35 to 45 years old, Native American Indian male. From a plains reservation. We see him in the wake of an unthinkable tragedy that he struggles to deal with. Uses humor to deal with his pain.

RODNEY / WESLEY: Late 40s-late 50s. Native Americans from a plains reservation. RODNEY: A faithful friend to Mike who accompanies him off the reservation to help him come to terms with his loss. WESLEY: Medicine man. Wise and calm but in a self-aware and, at times, ironic way.

AUDITIONS are on Sunday, May 19 from 12-2pm in Manhattan
