URGENT: TV ad seeks Ethiopian & Somalian families in the GTA (pays $1500+)
A TV ad for a Canadian supermarket chain seeks Ethiopian & Somalian families. Each person cast will be paid about $1500, so an extended family could be paid upwards of $10,000 for a day’s work. Auditions will be held this Thursday August 23 so anyone interested should apply immediately!
We’re looking for extended families – parents, kids, grandparents, aunts, uncles, cousins, etc. – who live in or near Toronto. We’d particularly like to hear from family groups but are also open to individuals who apply on their own. Applicants don’t need to speak English as they won’t be speaking on camera and won’t need to “act”. Basically, family members will be filmed preparing a meal together in a kitchen that we’ll provide. The project will be shot on August 29, 30, or 31, and while this is a union project, applicants don’t need to be ACTRA (the actors’ union) members to apply.
