SYNOPSIS:
I AM: The Timeless Story of Love and Pursuit is an awe-inspiring retelling of the greatest story of all time. Through original music that will rock you to your core and choreography that will have you transfixed; expect to explore the timeline of the Bible in a way it’s never been explored before. In this immersive, all-encompassing project the audience will step foot into the Garden of Eden themselves and understand these stories in a way they may not have been able to before. The stage will be alive with the harrowing plights and joyous triumphs of man through Christ, his followers and God, the greatest “I AM”. From the miracles of faith, love and forgiveness to the sorrows of betrayal, loss and grief this production will leave you walking out of the door with a new, more hopeful perspective on life and love. I AM: The Timeless Story of Love and Pursuit is an experience you will not soon forget. This musical drama will be both performed live and filmed for distribution and streaming after the live performances.

Adam: Male, 20 to 30 years old, triple threat, Rock Tenor. First created being in the new world. He enjoyed paradise and lived in bliss until eating the forbidden fruit, through these actions he curses himself and mankind.
Eve: Female, 20 to 30 years old, Triple Threat, Soprano Rock Belt. First created woman in the new world. She is deceived by the temptation of the serpent, even bringing her counterpart into this trap unknowingly. This curses herself and mankind.
Abraham/Pharisee: Male, 50 to 70 years old, Non Sing Roles. God gives him a promise that his descendants will be a great nation, the nation now known as Israel. The Pharisee is a religious ruler of Israel during the first century whose authority is challenged by Jesus. Due to this, they seek to do away with him.
Moses/Pharisee: Male, 50 to 60 years, Non Singing Roles. Old testament patriarch whom is called by God through a burning bush to deliver his people (the children of Israel) from bondage in Egypt. The Pharisee is a religious ruler of Israel during the first century whose authority is challenged by Jesus. Due to this, they seek to do away with him.
Isaiah/Pharisee: 40 to 50 years, Non Singing Roles. Old testament prophet who speaks of the future arrival of a Jewish Messiah and future events to take place in Israel. The Pharisee is a religious ruler of Israel during the first century whose authority is challenged by Jesus. Due to this, they seek to do away with him.
Young Mary: Female, 20s, Mezzo Soprano. A young girl who is visited by an angel whom informs her that she will give a miraculous birth to Jesus, Son of God.
John the Baptist: Male 20 to 30 years, Strong Baritone Voice, rugged appearance. The cousin of Jesus who is commissioned by God to introduce Jesus as the Messiah of Israel.
Jesus: Male 30’s, Strong Contemporary Tenor, Strong Actor. The son of God sent to reveal his father to the world.
High Priest: Male, 60s-70s, classically-trained actor. He is the leader of the Jewish religion in the first century. He is powerful politically, economically and religiously.
Nicodemas: Male, 50’s to 60’s years, R&B Tenor. He is part of the Pharisees and is very sympathetic to Jesus and his teachings. He becomes a follower after the crucifixion.
Peter: Male, 20 to 30, Contemporary Tenor. One of the first disciples of Jesus who is very impulsive and who speaks before he thinks.
Samaritan Woman: 30 to 40 years, Non Singing Role. A marginalized outcast who is judged by her community and condemned until she meets Jesus.
Pilate: Male, 40 ‘s to 50’s years, Non-Singing Role, classically-trained actor. A struggling Roman governor over a turbulent Israel during the first century. He is coerced to deal with Jesus by the religious rulers.
Sarah/Pilate’s Wife: Female, 40’s to 50’s. Sarah is the wife of Abraham who is promised by God to be the mother of nations and bear a son, despite being well passed her child-bearing years. Pilate’s Wife is a nervous woman who is concerned about what her husband will do about Jesus, as she has had warnings in her dreams.
Mary Mother of Jesus: Female, 40’s to 50’s, Contemporary Legit Mezzo Soprano. The now adult mother of Jesus who is devastated by the crucifixion of her son.
Mary Magdelene: female, 30’s to 40’s, Non Singing. A female follower of Jesus who is highly supportive of his ministry, she is also the first to see him after his resurrection.
Centurion: Male, 40’s to 50’s, Non Singing. A Roman military leader of typically 100 soldiers, he shows great faith and belief in Jesus’ abilities to heal and perform miracles.
Ensemble: Male/Female. Strong Triple Threats to play various roles such as Voice of God, Disciples, Dancers, Etc.
