TRACY (Lead) Males & Females
AGE: 18-22
ETHNICITY: Black / African Descent, Ethnically Ambiguous / Multiracial
REQUIRED MEDIA: Headshot/Photo, Video Reel
the Son; considerate, careful, introspective, superficial; an expert in being in the middle and walking on eggshells; his desire to appease everyone prevents him from connecting with either side of his family; his ambivalence eventually leads to him being (literally) pulled into two.
BLACK TRACY (lead) Males & Females
AGE: 18-22
ETHNICITY: Black / African Descent
REQUIRED MEDIA: Headshot/Photo, Video Reel
the Black Half; bold, curious, accommodating, and a pushover; newly liberated from a long existence of being suppressed, Black Tracey can’t thrive the way he thought he would because he’s haunted by the social implications of being split into parts and the redefined struggles of his identity.
WHITE TRACY (lead) Males & Females
AGE: 18-22
ETHNICITY: White / European Descent
REQUIRED MEDIA: Headshot/Photo, Video Reel
the White Half; assertive, inattentive, pessimistic; after being quietly excited about the split affording him a new appealing identity, White Tracey falls into a huge case of imposter syndrome which masks his hidden need for compassion.
DOUG (Supporting) Male
AGE: 40-60
ETHNICITY: White / European Descent
REQUIRED MEDIA: Headshot/Photo, Video Reel
DESCRIPTION:
the father; curious, distracted, awkward, bold; after his son is surprisingly torn in half, Doug is forced to address the issues in his household that he would rather ignore; however, his awkwardness and ignorance continue to get in the way of him connecting with his son.
AMBER (Supporting) Female
AGE: 40-60
ETHNICITY: Black / African Descent
REQUIRED MEDIA: Headshot/Photo, Video Reel
the mother; assertive, loving, powerful, inattentive; when her (apparently) stable world is ruptured by the unexpected splitting of her beloved son, Amber erringly takes the incident as an attack on her character, inadvertently addressing her own inner demons instead of addressing her son’s obviously troublesome predicament.
CAROL (Supporting) Female
AGE: 75-90
ETHNICITY: Black / African Descent
REQUIRED MEDIA: Headshot/Photo, Video Reel
the Grandma; blunt, detached, free-spirited; has a questioning way of approaching social situations and doesn’t let her years, nor the abrupt split of her grandson, get in the way of her spunk.
DON (Supporting) Male
AGE: 30-40
ETHNICITY: White / European Descent
REQUIRED MEDIA: Headshot/Photo, Video Reel
the Uncle; uppity, forward, friendly, loyal; a large scale political type whose big ego and even bigger social blind spots make him useless in the face of his nephew’s physicalized identity crisis.
LIZ (Supporting) Female
AGE:30-40
ETHNICITY: Black / African Descent
REQUIRED MEDIA: Headshot/Photo, Video Reel
the Aunt; energetic, youthful, inviting, expressive; has infectious energy and an appetite for starting conflict for entertainment, which she soon comes to regret.
