Casting – International Performers – Turks and Caicos
Creativiva Caribbean Inc. is proud to offer another opportunity to perform at the Beaches Turks
and Caicos Resort Villages and Spa and to live on one of the world’s most beautiful beaches for
6 months.
We are accepting applications from artists based in USA.
Rehearsals: December 4, 2017 – January 12, 2018 in Toronto, Canada
Performances: January 13, 2018 – August 1, 2018 in Turks and Caicos
All candidates must be available for the full duration of the contract.
All candidates must have a valid passport to travel internationally.
All candidates must be 18+.
This is a paid, non-union contract.
We are seeking:
Male Actors
Casting male musical theatre actors for various roles
Must have on-stage experience in musical theatre
Experience in singing and dancing is required
Ability to work as part of a team
Must be fluent in English
Female Dancers
Casting female dancers for various roles
Must be trained in the following techniques: jazz, contemporary
Experience in musical theatre, singing and acting is an asset
Ability to work as part of a team
Working proficiency in English is a must
Terms and Conditions
Rehearsal Period in Toronto, Canada:
Dates (actors and dancers): Dec 4, 2017 – Jan 13, 2018 (6 weeks)
Fee:
Performers will be paid CAD$1,500/month for the rehearsals in Toronto.
In addition to the fee above, Creativiva Caribbean Inc. will provide:
– economy flight (round trip) between major international airport and Toronto, Canada;
– luggage fees for up to 2 checked bags with personal items and any checked bags with
performing equipment;
– accommodation in Toronto, Canada (shared occupancy).
During the rehearsal period, selected candidates must be available for all photo shoots, video
shoots, meetings and any promotional events while in Toronto, inclusive in the performers
rehearsal fee.
Performances in Turks and Caicos Islands:
Dates: Jan 13, 2018 – August 1, 2018
Performance schedule: 5 working days (Performing 4 days a week (2 shows per day) and
participating 1 day in a parade)
Shows: All ages musical theatre productions (duration 50 min each)
Parade: Weekly event with all artists walking through the resort grounds (duration 35 min)
Venue: outdoor stage
Fee:
Performance fee will be paid monthly for performances and will be determined based on skill set
and role of the performer in the productions.
In addition to the fee above, Creativiva Caribbean Inc. will provide:
– accommodation on site, in double rooms, equipped for staff necessities;
– 3 meals per day;
– beach access;
– performance costumes;
– performance props;
– performance shoes;
– performance makeup
Insurance
Canada:
Performers must obtain their own travel insurance for rehearsal period in Canada at their own
expense.
Turks and Caicos Islands:
A health insurance plan will be provided and the cost will be split amongst 3 parties: the resort,
Creativiva Caribbean Inc. and the performer. Each party will contribute to the insurance plan
monthly in the following breakdown: US$170/month divided between the resort (US$44.43/
month), Creativiva Caribbean Inc. (US$56.67/month) and Performer (US$68.90/month,
deducted from monthly salary).
Visas/Work permits
Canada:
Producer covers the fee of a visa application or an Electronic Travel Authorization (eTA) to
rehearse in Canada (depending on country of residence).
Performer provides at their own expense all required documentation to obtain a Canadian Visa,
if required (exact requirements vary based on country of residence).
Turks and Caicos Islands:
Creativiva Caribbean Inc. covers the fee of a work permit application and handles the process to
attain work permit for Turks and Caicos Islands.
In order to obtain a work permit, the performer must provide at their own expense the following:
1. Police Record valid within 6 months (in English or with certified translation to English).
2. Six (6) Passport Pictures (35×45, colour, no seal) – each photo is to be certified by a notary.
3. Copy of Passport (certified by a notary) (in English or with certified translation to English).
4. Resume (in English).
5. Relevant Diplomas or Certificates (certified by notary) (in English or with certified translation
to English).
6. Medical form with exam and all test results (in English or with certified translation to English).
7. Courier delivery of the package from country of residence to resort in Turks and Caicos
Islands.
