Ensconce is an experimental short film that explores the positives and negatives of virtual reality. It follows a man who is confined to a wheel chair as he lives two very separate lives; one the sad real world where he cannot move, and his virtual world, where he is still young and has all the abilities that he did in his youth.
The role we are casting for is that of Tyler, a young boy between the ages of 10-13.
Tyler is optimistic, naive, and innocent. He likes to have fun, is interested in puzzles, and is very curious. He is the kind of boy that when left alone would pick up a book that is well beyond his reading level. Tyler has a very close relationship., and is very protective of his mother.
