SYNOPSIS:
A prisoner imagines reconnecting with his wife and daughter on the day of his release.
PROJECT BACKGROUND:
This project is being shot for festival entry.
ROLES:
DAWSON (25 – 40): Dawson is a quiet, hardened personality with vulnerable undertones. His presence in the script is generally comforting. Physically, he’s noted to have an unkept beard/stubble.
ROONEY (20 – 35): Rooney is the supporting lead. She is married to Dawson, the central protagonist and POV character. She’s a supportive personality to her husband and daughter which obliges her to have a well-composed personality. Although she isn’t burdened by her responsibilities, there are suggestions of emotional exhaustion.
LUNA (9 – 14): Luna is the daughter of Dawson and Rooney. The plot and Dawson’s anxiety arise from his relationship with his daughter. As a result, Luna’s character is the emotional focus of the story and also the subject of tension between Dawson and Rooney. Luna’s personality is timid and innocent for a girl of around eleven.
