“It’s My Anxiety” is casting for PRINCIPAL and ACTOR roles for our pilot episode. Filming takes place December 8,9,10 in Edmonton, AB. The pilot has received funding from Telus Storyhive and will be featured on Telus Optik VOD. We are accepting submissions from Union AND Non-Union talent. Please see below for details:

REESE PETERSON
Reese – MALE. 25-35 . Any ethnicity. Reese is a charismatic graphic designer with a positive and magnetic energy. Reese suffers from depression but is extremely skilled at masking it in public. He has a deep understanding of mental health issues but never talks about it.
VICKY VERKLEY
Vicky – FEMALE. 30-45 . Any ethnicity. Vicky is a harsh, deadpan marketing manager who has no time for nonsense. She is extremely blunt and to the point but is capable of having moments of softness.
DR. IRENE SAGE
Dr.Sage – FEMALE. 35-50 . Any ethnicity. Dr.Sage is a warm, calm psychotherapist who can make anyone feel instantly comfortable. A talented and educated doctor who is quirky at times.
RYAN JONES
Ryan – MALE. 20-25 . Any ethnicity. Ryan is a fun extrovert who is popular and well-liked. However, he often puts himself first and lacks understanding for other people’s feelings.
MR. (ALEX) OLDMAN
Mr. Oldman – MALE. 45-60 . Any ethnicity. Mr.Oldman is a kind and compassionate CEO that tries too hard to be hip and fun.
DEPRESSION
Depression – MALE. 20-35 . Any ethnicity. Depression is quiet but full of quick wit and a sharp tongue, he is funny.
Synopsis: “It’s My Anxiety” is a new web series that challenges the idea of mental health being “all in your head”. Kennedy Evans is your average 25 year old, with her first “big girl” job, some friends and a decent relationship. Everything is fine until her anxiety comes back. In this world, people can have manifestations of their mental illnesses that take the form of real humans who they have to care for and ultimately, deal with. Kennedy is one of them. With the help of friends, family and of course, her therapist, Kennedy will have to learn to live with the very real embodiment of her very real anxiety.
Project Details: After placing top 30 in the Telus Storyhive Web Series Competition, “It’s My Anxiety” was awarded funding for it’s pilot episode. The pilot will be featured on Telus Optik VOD once it airs January 2018. The episode will run approx. 10 minutes and most actors will only be needed for 1-2 days on set.
