**CASTING CALL FOR INDIGENOUS MILLENNIAL ACTORS**
Indigenous actors (born between 1981-1996) wanted for a shoestring/low budget shoot. Indigenous comedy ensemble project with professional Indigenous Director, DOP, and production team.
PROJECT: Hey Cuzzin
PAID: Yes. Note it’s the UBCP ULB rate with a small royalty. Food provided.
UNION: Ultra Low Budget (ULB) Program: 40 Under Indie. Union and Non-Union members can apply.
CREDIT: Working on an Ultra-Low Budget production does not count as a credit towards Union membership. Will provide IMDB credit.
LENGTH: 10 minutes proof of concept comedy demo. To air on TELUS STORYHIVE
AUDITION DATE: Thursday, March 21 between 3-7pm (Metro Vancouver).
SHOOT DATES: Friday, April 12 to Sunday, April 14, 2019
(Do not need to be available for all dates. Memorizing 3-6 mins of a script – approximately 3 pages per character)
SHOOTING LOCATION: Surrey and North Vancouver
WARDROBE NOTE: Please bring two options for the character(s) you wish to audition for. All of the on-screen roles are people of medium income, contemporary, and what youth in their 20s and 30s are wearing today. Please see if a specific wardrobe item will be required below.
The roles include:
BOBBY JACK, 25, dark hair and eyes, good looking and fit. He’s funny, a man’s man. He needs to have his guys around him. He takes care of his cousins and family is important to him. He is a peacemaker.
EVAN, 25, skinny, dark hair and eyes, and always wears a jean jacket. He looks up to his cousins Billy and Sheldon.
SHELDON is in his early 30s. He is light skinned and heavy set. He likes to wear a baseball cap all the time and most times backward. He likes to wear hockey jerseys and shorts. He is quick witted, wise and a caretaker.
SARAH, 23, long hair, dark with blonde streaks, glasses, make-up, nails done She is stylish and has it together all the time. She’s a good mom.
KYLIE is in her early 20s. She has short dark hair, very stylish and tall. She’s sarcastic and funny. She’s quick with the comebacks and a bit of a drama queen. She makes great facial expressions.
LYNN, 22 long dark hair, tall and plain looking. No makeup and wears sports clothes. She is a smartass and gets into trouble. She is feisty and always ready to stick up for her cousins.
