Monroe – Male, 30s. An investigator for a security company. His job is to find out why security systems fail, but he has a tendency to solve a few crimes along the way. Monroe is arrogant and principled to a fault. Several years ago he uncovered some criminal activity at his company, which led to many people losing their jobs. Now he works out of his apartment and enlists the building’s doorman for help.
Dotty – Female, 20s – Dotty is the female doorman of a fancy apartment building downtown. Her family owns the building and as a condition of her taking over the company she must work her way up from the bottom. She generally likes her job and the people who live in the apartment. She tries her best to do a good job, even with the more annoying tenants.
