A student film produced through the York University Film Program, Rosemary and Mister Latimer is a children’s short set in the 1960s which tells the story of a lonely lighthouse keeper who befriends a little girl during the storm of the century. Actors will be paid a daily honorarium for their services.
ROLE:
Mr. Hornshaw: Male, Age 50+
Mr. Hornshaw is an old man of the sea. A retired lighthouse keeper and naval veteran who works at the lighthouse board, hiring the film’s protagonist Latimer to work as the keeper at the most isolated lighthouse in his jurisdiction. Facial hair and the ability to do an English, Scottish, or Newfoundland accent are both pluses, but by no means a requirement!
