Casting an adaptation of Franz Kafka's judicial satire "The Trial."
Synopsis: Joseph K. is arrested, but no one will tell him his crime. Thus begins labyrinthine legal process equal parts hilarious and horrifying. A very dark comedy.
Rehearsals begin Mar. 19; runs Apr. 16-May 6 in NYC.
This is an Equity Showcase Code, approval pending. Pays: $800 stipend per each actor for rehearsals/production.
Joseph K (Lead): Male, 25-35
male, 25 to 35 years. A lonely but successful banker. Joseph is a high-strung perfectionist whose self-righteousness gets him into trouble. Open to all ethnicities.

Ensemble (Supporting): Male, 18+
casting two additional bold, quick-witted, grounded actors to play multiple characters. Opposite the lead actor, the play's ensemble portrays the additional 23 characters (approx. five per actor). These characters are male. Open to actors of all ages, genders, ethnicities. Note: Role requires appearing shirtless; very open to discussing comfort.
