Sheridan College now casting 5 PRINCIPAL ROLES in a 10-minute comedic short film that will be shooting from March
16th-19th in the GTA. Auditions will be held on Wednesday, March 7th in Toronto.
SYNOPSIS: A closeted young man forced to go to a Pray the Gay Away camp conspires with his boyfriend to create a fake camp so that they can party in Palm Springs instead.
DAN – LEAD. MALE. EARLY 20’S. CAUCASIAN
Intelligent, cautious, stubborn, driven, hides his sexuality from his religious parents.
ANTHONY – LEAD. MALE. EARLY 20’S.
Clever, fiery, flirtatious, confident, has a good sense of humour, rebellious, spontaneous. Dan’s boyfriend.
JAMES – SUPPORTING. MALE. EARLY 40’S. CAUCASIAN
Happy-go-lucky, oblivious, dreamer, passive, religious, and a little flamboyant. Dan’s father.
HARRIET – SUPPORTING. FEMALE. EARLY 40’S. CAUCASIAN
Strict, stubborn, religious, god-fearing, conformist. Dan’s mother who seeks approval from Reverend Harris.
Reverend Harris – SUPPORTING. MALE. LATE 50’S.
Calm, composed, straightforward, reserved, scholarly, controlling, hypocritical, manipulative, righteous. He lives a dual life as a pastor… and a drag queen.
