Thomas and Arthur have been best friends since they were little, Thomas being the closest thing the ranch has to a neighbour. Thomas is witty and carefree, but he is also compassionate and a good listener, and as such often acts as a sounding board for ideas and thoughts that Arthur has.
Thomas is a classic teenage boy; he has a hard time thinking of the future, and whatever he is doing at any particular moment is what is most important to him.
