David Morrison | Model from Toronto, ON, Canada I am David Morrison. I am a multi-instrumentalist, producer, rapper, singer, composer, actor, model that grew up in Truro, Nova Scotia. From an early age I was exposed to music. As I grew up in a family of nine children with a piano teacher as a mother, I was constantly exposed to music. I started playing the ukulele at age 12. I wanted to learn more and thrive more in music so I decided to learn the guitar at age 13. I decided to do more. I had learned the piano, drums, marimba, Alto Saxophone, Bass and I won multiple awards for fiddle competitions, multiple awards for competitions in which I played Tenor Saxophone and I was the recipient of multiple music festival awards for guitar as well as the Douglas D. Skidmore award for excellence in guitar and the Gold Medal for highest mark in Atlantic Canada from the royal conservatory of music. In this time I had also created a pop/fusion band called “Shelter” in which I directed the band, sang, played guitar and wrote the songs. I directed and released a music video for this band and recorded and mixed a full album and sold it across Colchester County in stores and by hand by the age of 17. At the age of 18 I graduated from high school and decided to study Jazz guitar at Humber College in Toronto, Canada. I directed multiple jazz bands as well as a choir and held my own concert that had a full house before I decided that I wanted to sing more and dive into the pop industry. I met a producer named Riksha and we started working together. We released multiple singles one of which received 21,000 listens on Spotify by the time I was 19. I wanted more. So I traveled to Boston to study at the renowned Berklee College of music. I met as many people as possible and had 500 new contacts in my phone by the end of the first orientation week. I gained more contacts and decided which people I wanted to work with. I selected who I thought were the best producers, songwriters and collaborators alike and started working with them. By the end of 1st semester I was working on twenty different projects, I released two singles, and I acquired an agent all while keeping up with my studies. I am now twenty years old and am moving to LA to pursue a career in music as well as the arts. I am currently working on multiple songs, directing music videos, creating film scores and performing as a professional musician all while doing gigs for acting, modeling and taking dance classes for future dance gigs. I am motivated, strong, inspired and have a clear sense of direction. I am sure to make a name for myself in the coming years.
