Yi Qing Seow | Dancer from Singapore Born in Malaysia, upon graduation from Nanyang Academy of Fine Arts (NAFA), Yi Qing was invited to be a guest artist with Lee Wushu Art Theatre (Malaysia) in 2007 and later danced with John Mead Moving Image Arts Dance Company, Frontier Danceland as well as founding member of Re: Dance Theatre in 2007, 2008 and 2012 respectively. Yi Qing continues her journey as an independent dance practitioner in 2015 where she also received grants from Singapore National Arts Council (NAC) to actively participating in various festivals and vocational workshops. In 2017, she is commissioned to collaborate in a site specific dance video for an award winning architecture HDB in Punggol, Singapore. Drawing inspirations from her dance background, she is currently interested in searching alternative approaches in movement studies through regular practice in improvisation, contact improvisation. She is currently also an active dance instructor, dance performer as well as a costume character performer where she interact a lot with children.
