Six major cast members of Dick Wolf’s Law & Order, #OneChicago and FBI franchises have announced their departures in the past few weeks, leaving fans of the long-running series in shock.
The departures come as the franchises are heading into shortened 13-episode seasons due to Hollywood’s labor disputes. The six cast members who have left the shows are:
Law & Order: SVU: Christopher Meloni, who played Detective Elliot Stabler for 12 seasons, and Diane Neal, who played Assistant District Attorney Casey Novak for eight seasons.
#OneChicago: Jesse Spencer, who played Lieutenant Matthew Casey for nine seasons, and Monica Raymund, who played Gabriela Dawson for seven seasons.
FBI: Sela Ward, who played Special Agent in Charge Dana Mosier for two seasons, and Zeeko Zaki, who played Special Agent Omar Adom ‘OA’ Zidan for two seasons.
The departures have left fans of the long-running series in shock, as the shows have been a staple of television for decades.
