EXCLUSIVE: After being forced to halt production with the launch of the SAG-AFTRA strike, the crime drama King Ivory from writer-director John Swab (Ida Red) is back up and running once again, in and around Tulsa, OK, having been named just recently as one of 39 productions that will benefit from a SAG Interim Agreement.
The film stars James Badge Dale (The Departed, Iron Man 3), Ben Foster (Hell or High Water, Leave No Trace), Michael Mando (Better Call Saul, Spider-Man: Homecoming), Rory Cochrane (Argo, Black Mass), Melissa Leo (The Fighter, The Big Short), and more.
King Ivory follows a former criminal (Dale) who is released from prison and returns to his hometown of Tulsa, Oklahoma, to find his family in disarray. He must confront his past and the people he left behind in order to save his family and himself.
The film is produced by Swab and his producing partner, Tyler Davidson (The Skeleton Twins, The Stanford Prison Experiment), along with executive producers Chris Ferguson (The Stanford Prison Experiment, The Skeleton Twins) and John Swab’s brother, Michael Swab
