Casting is now open for the short film musical, ‘A Lovely Ending’. This 1950s-set story follows two friends as they reevaluate their lives and relationships in the face of an incoming asteroid.
Shoot dates are scheduled for February 2-4, 9-11, and March 8-10, 2024. All roles are non-union and will receive copy, credit, meal, IMDb credit, and mileage compensation (upon request).
The deadline to submit self-tapes is December 22nd, 11:59PM PST.
Roles:
Carson (Lead, 17 years old):
– Hopeless romantic with big dreams and untethered ideals
– Used to being the man of the family, his mother’s support
– Seen love fail, but still holding onto the hope that one day he will find his soulmate
– Jazz and swing dancing required
– Singing required
– Must have previous dance and singing experience
– Must be 18+
Dibs (Lead, 17 years old):
– Practical and caring truth-teller who bears the burdens of those she loves, even to her own detriment
– Lost her parents and sister in a tragic car crash and now lives with her Grandpa Sam
– Jazz and swing dancing required
– Singing required
– Must have previous dance and singing experience
– Must be 18+
