Ben Stiller is set to star in the upcoming film Nutcrackers, directed by David Gordon Green. The movie is currently in production in Ohio and Stiller will also produce the film through his Red Hour Films banner.
The film follows a young girl who discovers a magical world of adventure and friendship when she is given a mysterious nutcracker for Christmas. Stiller will play the role of the nutcracker, a mysterious figure who helps the girl on her journey.
Rob Paris and Jonathan Gray of Rivulet Entertainment are also producing the film, alongside Stiller. The script was written by Chris Galletta and is based on the classic story by E.T.A. Hoffmann.
Stiller is best known for his comedic roles in films such as Zoolander, Meet the Parents, and Night at the Museum. He won an Emmy for his performance in the HBO series The Larry Sanders Show. This will be his first lead role in a feature film in six years.
Nutcrackers is set to be released in 2021. Fans of Stiller and the classic story are sure to be excited for this new take on the beloved tale.
