The Hill Toronto Short Film is casting for its lead and supporting roles.
Lead Roles:
– June (Female, 6-7 years old): June is good at playing by herself on the farm. She’s little for her age. Brimming with imagination and curiosity, she can get by without many friends. She’s had to. June loves horses and her older brothers.
– Emma (Female, 9 years old): Emma’s just gone through a growth spurt. She loves sports and being ‘One of the guys’ but also likes to look pretty. She loves attention, especially her sister’s, and wants to be in control at all times.
Supporting Roles:
– Riley (Female, 14-15 years old): Riley is Emma’s older sister. She feels like an adult. She’s been doing hard work on the farm for as long as she can remember, and she’s really smart. She and Emma don’t have a fantastic relationship. Emma’s annoying, she’s such a baby, but it can be nice to have someone who’s obsessed with you.
– Arthur (Male, 15-16 years old): Arthur is June’s brother. He’s not afraid of hard work, he loves it. He enjoys getting dirty and doing labour. It makes him feel like a proper man, and the ladies don’t mind it either. He’s a gentleman though, and shy. He’d never the one to make the first move.
– Connor (Male, 14-15 years old): Connor likes metal and hard rock. He builds go-carts and gadgets and sets things on fire. He’s a good son, but sometimes a bad brother. He wishes he looked more like Arthur.
