– Elliot Ginsberg: 13 year old Jewish boy deep in tradition and history, ideally shorter with darker, curly hair. Actor needs to be able to sing a small part of a Torah portion in Hebrew. Prefer authentically Jewish actor.
– Rabbi Dolgin: In his forties or fifties. Leader with compassion, wise but gentle and caring. Prefer a authentically Jewish actor or real Rabbi.
– David Ginsberg (Dad): Early – mid 40s. Proud of his family’s Jewish tradition. Prefer an authentically Jewish actor.
– Rebecca Ginsberg (Mom): Late 30s – mid 40s. Strong personality. Needs to convey deep emotion through small gestures. Prefer authentically Jewish actor.
– Nessa Ginsberg (Sister): Senior in high school or freshman in college (17-20). Happy for her younger brother on his day. Prefers an authentically Jewish actor.
– Grandmother Ginsberg: Late 60s – Early 70s. Needs to convey deep emotions in her eyes. Prefers an authentically Jewish actor.
