Hey there!
Khameron here. the Arts Festival is an annual festival hosted by the North Lawndale Community Coordinating Council (NLCCC), the Chair of the Arts and Culture Comittee is the phenomenal Sheila McNary who has asked me to put on my play Black Table Talk, a play about three friends reconnecting at a familiar place during an unfamiliar time. It explores accountability, intersectionality, and gentrification with an heir of brevity, grace, and cunning.
I would love to cast you as the lead – Tyranny Lee Jackson, a force of nature, a woman who’s returned from Law School to find herself a fish too big for this west side pond.
This is an amazing opportunity to network, and connect with theatre stakeholders who are taking off in North Lawndale. Read on for more information!

Compensation: Flat rate of $100 for the staged reading and one day of rehearsal if necessary.
