EXCLUSIVE: Guy Ritchie’s Netflix series The Gentlemen is expanding its recurring cast, adding Harry Goodwins and Ruby Sear in key roles. The eight-part drama series is created by Ritchie, inspired by his 2019 Miramax film. It follows Eddie Horniman (Theo James), who has inherited his English aristocrat father’s sizable estate and becomes the new Duke of London.
Goodwins will play the role of Eddie’s best friend, a young man who is loyal to Eddie and is always looking out for him. Sear will play the role of a young woman who is a member of the upper class and is a close friend of Eddie’s.
The series also stars Matthew McConaughey, Charlie Hunnam, Henry Golding, Michelle Dockery, Jeremy Strong, Eddie Marsan, Colin Farrell, and Hugh Grant.
The Gentlemen is set to premiere on Netflix in 2021. It is produced by Ritchie and his producing partner, Ivan Atkinson, along with Miramax and The Weinstein Company.
