Jamie Lee Curtis has set her sights on a role in the second season of the Netflix adaptation of the popular manga series One Piece.
The actress, who is best known for her roles in films such as Halloween and True Lies, has declared her intent to lobby Netflix for a role in the show.
The series is adapted from the manga by Eiichiro Oda and follows the adventures of Monkey D. Luffy and his crew of pirates as they search for the legendary treasure known as the One Piece.
The first season of the show was released in October 2020 and was met with positive reviews from fans and critics alike.
Showrunner Matt Owens has expressed his enthusiasm for Curtis’ interest in the show, saying “We’re always looking for new and exciting talent to join the cast of One Piece and Jamie Lee Curtis would be a great addition.”
Curtis has yet to reveal which role she is interested in, but fans are already speculating that she could be playing a villain or a mentor figure.
