Untitled Intimacy and Hornet are casting for a performer in an upcoming experimental film project that explores the technological mediation of intimacy and consent set in Los Angeles on June 1, 2018 from 7pm-7am PST. The 12-hour, durational performance is to be live streamed online and at the Los Angeles Queer Biennial. We are looking for one performer that is interested in investigating the nuances of intimacy and consent through same-sex social apps that are found in communities of color and LGBTQIA+ identified communities.
This casting call is open to all gender expressions and identities located in the United States with a strong prioritization for people of color, LGBTQIA+ identified and non-binary individuals. There is no previous acting or performance experience required but it is encouraged. Participants must be between 21-36 of age and comfortable with being filmed.
