A Valley of Echoes is a twenty-minute psychological thriller short film seeking both paid and non-union actors. We are casting for two roles:
Therapist:
– Female, Early 20s-Early 30s
– Initially warmhearted, uplifting, yet stubborn therapist
– As the film progresses, reveals a sinister side as she attempts to gain a psychological stranglehold over Samuel
Samuel:
– Male, Early 20s-Early 30s
– Quiet recluse desperate for help but reluctant to take the further steps necessary to address the problems he faces
Synopsis:
A dejected young male battles his insomnia, secrets, and sanity after agreeing to continue his final appointment with his stubborn therapist. As the client details his surreal fever dream, the appointment quickly takes a dark turn, leading to a startling discovery about the client’s past that threatens to unravel the very fabric of their relationship.
Rate:
– $200/day plus meals and transportation
Shooting:
– Takes place Feb 17-18 and 23-24, 2024 in Mississauga, ON
