We are seeking experienced and dynamic performers to join the Secret City team and take on the lead role in this outdoor escape room. The successful candidate will report directly to the Rehearsal Director during the training period and the Game Manager for the duration of the season.
Key Responsibilities:
– Performing a lead character role for up to 60 players/game
– Memorizing the script and performing off book
– Providing non-narrative MC duties for player intros and outros
– Managing the players experience while maintaining the immersive experience
– Providing tactful and nuanced puzzle hinting
– Assisting with game operations (e.g. set up, re-sets, closing procedures)
Requirements:
– Performance experience (e.g. theatre, film/TV)
– Improv experience (immersive experiences)
– Ability to commute to Black Creek Pioneer Village for shifts
– Customer service experience
– Available evenings and weekends
– Comfortable with working outdoors in all but extreme weather conditions (with live farm animals in near proximity)
– Interest in immersive experiences and games and puzzles
– Can provide own footwear and some basic costume items (e.g. black pants)
