Shockwaves Through Chicago: Another Major Cast Member Leaves Fire Ahead of Season 12!

Chicago Fire is saying goodbye to yet another cast member. Alberto Rosende, who has played Blake Gallo for four seasons, will exit the NBC drama in the Season 12 premiere (airing Jan. 17), TVLine has confirmed.

The actor first joined Fire in Season 8 as a promising but sometimes reckless rookie firefighter with a tragic backstory. He quickly became a fan favorite, and his character was promoted to the rank of Firefighter/Paramedic in Season 10.

Rosende’s departure follows the exits of Jesse Spencer (who played Matthew Casey) and Monica Raymund (Gabby Dawson) in Season 11. The show also recently said goodbye to Miranda Rae Mayo (Stella Kidd) and Annie Ilonzeh (Emily Foster).

The cast shakeup comes as Chicago Fire is set to celebrate its 200th episode in Season 12. The milestone episode will feature the return of several former cast members, including Raymund, Spencer, and Taylor Kinney (Kelly Severide).

Chicago Fire executive producer Derek Haas said in a statement, “Alberto has been an integral part of the Chicago Fire family for four seasons and we are sad to see him go. We wish him all the best in his future endeavors.
