EXCLUSIVE: Writer-director Adam Sherman has announced the cast for his upcoming horror comedy, Vampires of the Velvet Lounge. Mena Suvari (American Beauty) and Dichen Lachman (Severance) will lead the ensemble, which also includes Stephen Dorff (Blade), Rosa Salazar (Alita: Battle Angel), Lochlyn Munro (Peacemaker), India Eisley (I Am the Night), and newcomer Katelyn Wells.
The film follows a group of vampires who have been living in the shadows of a small town for centuries. When a young woman (Salazar) moves to town, she discovers the vampires’ secret and is drawn into their world. Suvari will play the leader of the vampires, while Dorff will portray a mysterious stranger who has a connection to the group.
Sherman, who previously directed the horror-thriller This Game’s Called Murder, is producing the film alongside his producing partner, Michael Sherman. The film is currently in pre-production and is expected to begin shooting in the fall.
